How to upgrade or downgrade the blackberry OS, preparation for an upgrade or downgrade the os is as follows:
tools used:
- Notebook or PC
- Blackberry (BB) along with a USB cable (data cable)
- Blackberry Desktop Manager, used to back up and restore data at the time of the upgrade / downgrade, available in the cd at the time of purchase, or can be downloaded here or here
- BBSAK, used for backup & restore application ", if you do not have please download here
- OS blackberry, select the OS that is available or desirable and in accordance with the type of your blackberry. os can download here or here
- Food and Drinks:)
- Cigarettes and Coffee:)
- Pray
- install Blackberry Desktop Manager, install BBSAK, install the OS to suit your BB type
- after installing the above programs, then delete vendor.xml located at C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
- Connect your BB to the notebook/pc using data cable.
- run the blackberry desktop manager, wait until the connect, then select the back up. after finishing a close blackberry desktop manager.
- BBSAK next run, if your BB has a password enter your password and press OK, if not in the password directly press ok, then press backup apps button. after finishing the back up, press wipe devices. wait until the end and your blackberry reboot with writing errors on the screen. close BBSAK and "do not panic"
- The next open loader.exe in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader. press next and select what application you want to install, next wait until the process is complete.
- after the BB reboot and the OS is installed then the restore process, run the blackberry desktop manager and select restore. when you finish your blackberry will reboot again. close the blackberry desktop manager. next run BBSAK and select restore apps.
- after the restore process is complete, turn signal if the signal does not on.
- process is complete.
